    &lt;td&gt;&lt;div class="content"&gt;&lt;font size="2" face="Arial"&gt;&lt;div align="left" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;We know we're responsible for global warming but the debate over what to do about it is only just beginning.  &lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Should we require greater efforts to conserve energy? &lt;/font&gt;Should we increase &lt;font color="#000000"&gt;fossil fuel &lt;/font&gt;taxes?  Will the transition to renewable energy hurt the economy or create green jobs?&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;One alternative being considered is to build more nuclear reactors.  The nuclear industry sees climate change as an opportunity to revive itself as a &amp;quot;clean&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;safe&amp;quot; energy source.  Currently a moratorium prevents the building of more nuclear reactors in Wisconsin until a safe place is found to store nuclear waste.  The Governor’s Task Force on Global Warming has recommended lifting this ban and building more reactors.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, sans-serif"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;Is this a prudent move for Wisconsin?  The Madison Area Peace Coalition is sponsoring a discussion of this topic on Tuesday, January 12th, at the Wilmar Center (rescheduled from 12/8 due to mega-blizzard).  The featured speaker will be Jennifer Nordstrom of the Carbon-Free Nuclear Free campaign. She will &lt;font face="Arial"&gt;promote the goal of a 100% renewable electricity grid by 2050.  The public is welcome to join the discussion. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="margin-bottom: 0in;"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;The Wilmar Center is located at 953 Jennifer Street.  The discussion begins at 7:00 pm. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;	&lt;/td&gt;

    &lt;td&gt;&lt;div class="content"&gt;&lt;p&gt; Earth Day Action to Stop Global Warming and Burning of Coal&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Witches, shamans, pagans, Wiccans, Indigenous People, Hippies and others who love the Earth will celebrate Earth Day by gathering to drum and chant their intentions to end the poisoning of the planet now.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;At 11am, there will be a calling of the four quarters with drumming outside the MG&amp;amp;E main office on Railroad St., Madison.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;At Noon, people will rally at the west side of the State Capitol, and then march to MG&amp;amp;E on Railroad St. again.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;At 1 pm, there will be a &amp;quot;Polar Bear Die In&amp;quot; with politicial theater organized by the Madtown Liberty Players.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;&gt;Drumming will continue from 1:30 - 2:00 pm.
