Protest "A Night to Honor Israel" event sponsored by Christian Zionist groups

The "A Night to Honor Israel" event is being sponsored by the Spirit of Faith Church, Madison and Christians United for Israel (CUFI), a national organizaiton led by Pastor John Hagee.CUFI believe that the modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy of "end times" scenarios, and support the extreme right-wing in Israel who wish to reclaim all of Biblical Israel through ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestianian residents. Their apoclayptic theology is influential in the Bush Administration and has helped shape American Middle East policy.

Jewish Voice for Peace in a national grassroots group working for a U.S. Middle East policy based on democracy, human rights, and respect for international law. They seek an end to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. A new chapter of the group recently formed in Madison.
