As we approach our one year anniversary, the Peace Vigils at the Malls continue to go extremely well. The September vigil was held at East Towne and we recieved 265 Honks for Peace and Impeachment!!!! Listen to "In Our Back Yard" (WORT 89.9 FM 6:30 to 7 pm) on a Wednesday night to hear the radio report from the peace vigil. The response from the public continues to be overwhelmingly positive, proving that the ordinary people of Dane County fully understand the futility of the Bush Administration's foreign policy.

So come on out and join us as we hold our signs, waves at passing motorists and count the Honks for Peace and Impeachment. The peace vigil provides you with a chance to meet other like-minded people and to recieve the encouragement of fellow citizens as they honk their support for the anti-war movement. Bring signs or borrow ours. Bring your friends and children! Everyone is welcome and everyone enjoys themselves!!!

Discussion by John Nichols of his new book: "The Genius of Impeachment".

This free event is the first stop of a national 20-city tour by John Nichols discussing his new book as part of the Wisconsin Book Festival. As historian Howard Zinn says: "It's time we recognize that impeachment is not a radical , outlandish measure, but a constitutional procedure, historically grounded, and absolutely necessary when a president has committed 'high crimes and misdemeanors.' Joh Nichols' new book makes the argument with clarity, power and eloquence. David Swanson, co-founder of the AfterDowningStreet.org coalition, satys of the book. "John Nichols has produced a masterpiece that should be required reading in every high school and college in the United States."

The bookseller at the event will be Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative, an MAPC member group.
