Join us to protest the illegal and immoral wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The peace movement has made huge gains in the last year and the war in Iraq is becoming increasingly unpopular. So, come on down to the Peace Vigil at West Towne Mall to experience the excitement of hearing all the “Honks for Peace” and “Honks for Impeachment” from passing motorists showing their support for the Peace Movement. We can provide signs or bring your own. This is an inspiring and family friendly event! Everyone is welcome and bring a friend. The Peace Vigils have been a monthly event for over a year and continue to re-new our enthusiasm for the Anti-War Movement. Help us count at least 300-400 Honks for Peace and Impeachment in one hour!

At the last Peace Vigil, held at East Towne Mall, we had 12 people present and were able to cover all four corners of the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Thierer Road. We had a fantastic response from passing vehicles, some of whom honked long and loud. It was clear that many citizens were excited have the opportunity to express their opposition to the war. While we had several Birdies for War, the final count was a new record of 673 Honks for Peace and Impeachment!

Listen to In Our Back Yard on WORT 89.9 FM, from , on the Thursday following the Vigil, to hear a radio report from the Peace Vigil. Go to the "Image Gallery" section of this Web Site to see photos from past Peace Vigils.

The Peace Vigils at the Malls occur every third Saturday of the month and alternate between East Towne Mall and West Towne Mall. The Peace Vigil in November will be held at East Towne Mall at the intersection of <>East Washington Avenue and Thierer Road on Saturday November 17th, from to .
